Teresa and I went out to lunch with one of my mom’s friends from college, Monica, who lives in Madrid. We ate at restaurant Botín, the world’s oldest restaurant according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

Eating at the World’s Oldest Restaurant
Last Day Breakfast
For the last day in Spain we went out to eat churros for breakfast with some friends! Fun and delicious!
Bowling
We went bowling with Jessie, her Spaniard, and two other Spanish friends. I came in fourth place (out of six) but for a short time I was winning!
Churros
For dessert we had churros with chocolate. This is a typical Spanish food. They were really delicious, especially when dipped in the hot melted chocolate.
Javelinas
On our way home from the pool we saw a bunch of these wild pig-like javelinas! A bunch of people were stopped to feed them so I took some pictures and videos. Here is a link to the video: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7NjmL-2taS8
Despicable Me 2
We went to see Despicable Me 2. In Spain it’s called Gru 2. The movie was really funny and I loved it!
Pancakes!
I brought Connecticut pancake mix and maple syrup to my host family as gifts and this morning we made pancakes. I received thumbs-ups from all who tasted them!
View of Avila
We went to this monument with four columns where we got the best view of the city. There were also numerous weddings going on while we were in Avila and we got to see one couple getting their pictures taken in front of the beautiful view.
Avila
We visited a town called Avila that is surrounded by this large wall. We got to walk on it and see the beautiful town and churches.
In the Planetarium
We went to the planetarium and watched a show. I couldn’t understand very much but it was still very beautiful and fun.
